Time flies when you’re having fun, and I never had this much fun from watching a bunch of anime for the past three months. It’s a shame how fun things don’t last forever. It’s been a fun ride, but it’s time to move on. Here is my definitive review of all the anime I’ve watched for the past three months, all in glorious alphabetical order.
Sakura-con, one of the US’s major anime conventions, has come and gone for another year this past weekend. Luckily it’ll be returning next year. But this year, Sakura-con lacked something it had for the past two years, which will not likely never ever to return. Something I had always looking forward to since its inception, something which brought a window view of an anime convention to be seen anywhere around the world – given that they have a stable internet connection. I’m talking about Niconico’s Live Streams.
I have no clue what in the world happened to me when I wrote a True Tears review a few years ago, so I’m going to review it again to tie those loosened ends.
Update: April Fools! I got you good didn’t I? This wasn’t an April Fools joke all along!
On the twenty-fifth day, the fourth month, bound in the year of 2009; was the 25th of April of 2009. It was a plainly average day. The spring season was underway and the weather hung over England was adjusting itself for the warm season.
Ah right, it was also the day that this blog, Nyarth dot WordPress dot Comthe, was born.

It goes without saying; I have a huge hard-on for Hayate. Not Hayate himself (I wish) but the anime and manga series. I fell in love with the series after reading the first volume of the manga many years ago, and to this day Season 1 is still my favourite anime of all time. The pretty animation, the funny gags, Norio Fucking Wakamoto. Based SynergySP. Season 2 was, well, ‘good’. Not as ‘good’ as Season 1 in my opinion but stayed true the manga, which is great but in a way that they literally copied the scenes panel to panel, and use the exact same line of dialogue. Godammit, JC Staff. I was then happy to see Hayate come onto the big screen…for a disappointing 60 minutes. The movie felt lackluster, a little too short for a theatrical feature and had no signs of Wakamoto. Why Manglobe, why.
Alas come forth season three. Earlier this year Hata took a well lengthy hiatus from Hayate’s serialization in order to ‘work’ on the new season, which turned out to be him drawing storyboards for the anime. Did his work payed all payed off in the end? That, my friends, is what I’ll be reviewing today.
