Gitah made an appearance.

In the most recent chapter of Hayate (230) scanlated by a group known as yoniekai, who mainly scanlates Eyeshield 21 Chapters 245-276 back in 2007 and seems to be more active recently after not releasing anything for 7 months. It looks like its heading off from the main plot (Hayate, Maria and Nagi off for Golden Week at Mykonos Island) to some sub-plots/fillers. In which this its Kaoru and Yukiji in Italy for the weeks vacation. (Kaoru X Yukiji chapter to sum it up.)

Warning: Contains spoilers.

Hayate no Gotoku! Chapter 136

Some interesting stuff that happened in this chapter;

  • Somehow a giant 4m long “pet” Anaconda Snake has escaped…
  • Apparently the snake was smuggled in by a man in the area…
  • Nagi and Maria are unimpressed as to why someone would raise such a big and dangerous animal…
  • Hayate realises the irony, even Tama was being petted by Nagi when the news flash happened..
  • Hayate tries to point out that Tama is also a “big and dangerous animal” in a indirect way…
  • Apparently there were a lot of “giant caterpillars” a year ago as Nagi stated…
  • Tama threatens Hayate that if he attempts to do anything that will make Nagi kick Tama out he’ll kill him or either have him fired as a butler…
  • After Tama’s blackmail Tama takes a stroll down the Sanzenin’s Garden and coincidentally finds Shiranui there as well…
  • Tama decides to play Tom and Jerry and chases Shiranui after thinking about if Hayate and Shiraui were gone, he would have Nagi all for himself, and the game begins…
  • The game of Cat and Mouse quickly ends just when Shiranui is unfortunately cornered by Tama inside a “Amezon” delivery truck which finished delivering possibly Nagi’s goods, closed its doors and took off…
  • While inside the mansion Hayate asks Nagi as to why she continues to raise Tama as a pet, so forth a flashback occurs back in the past just when after Nagi’s mother passed away, Nagi decides to go to Africa to get rid if the painful memories which still reside at the mansion.
  • At Africa Nagi meets Tama starving to death for the very first time…
  • We meet this so-called random woman known as Jenny who is apparently a 4 year old Ninja (Despite the fact that in the flashback she looks a lot older like in her twenties…)
  • Nagi decides to save Tama from being killed from the hungry animals there… and all of the other filling plots…
  • After being saved from vain by a sudden appearance of Isumi, Nagi realises that Tama’s mother as recently passed away too and now that he’s going to die from starvation (and most likely dehydration as well) and he was in the same boat as Nagi, and that was then Nagi declared that she was going to take Tama back to Japan and raise him as a pet.
  • Also we discover that everyone except for Hayate still thinks of Tama as a white with black strips kitten, a big one.
  • Tama is lost at the seaside and after hearing the radio about the anaconda being shot to death after being so vicious the interviewer goes on and says that if they’ve saw a giant ferocious tiger out in the streets, they’d be shot dead in a flinch, just another thing to add to Tama’s problems…
  • To Be Continued…

Well that pretty much sums up Hayate Chapter 136… So as I did in the previous chapter review post a preview of the next chapter (Chapter 137);

Hayate no Gotoku! Chapter 135

I am beginning to do Hayate manga summaries/reviews, to go with my unreadable S2 anime summaries, -sob-.

Previously in the last chapter; (Chapter 134)
The priest has come to terms that he’ll finally rest in peace and will ascend to the heavens, much to Hayate’s dismay. But the priest goes on saying that for spirits to remain in the world, it means it has a strong regret and bla bla bla… Meaning he has a lingering attachment that is blocking him from moving on… Which then he reveals that his “lingering attachment is to flirt with a maid, hence his maid fetish. After some intriguing arguements between Hayate and the priest Hayate has an idea that they should “consult with a specialist” which in fact is obviously Isumi. After some rejected ideas from the priest to accomplish his remaining lingerment, he has Isumi dress up as a maid herself and become one and bla bla bla… After some more kicking and punching Isumi agree’s to the priest’s idea, and saying that this is a job for the Saginomiya family, to peacefully ascend ghosts and spirits to the heavens or to the depths of hell…. and bla bla bla… this… that… key points for a maid… spinning and turning, straight back… and so, at the climax of the chapter, Isumi will show the priest the true spirit of a maid, by spinning and turning a couple of times… and some other stuff that I’m not bothered to say… only to be tripped up by the hem of the maid’s uniform’s skirt. -end of the chapter- and now a continuation. (Chapter 135)
