A much rather slow review post since I finished reading this almost half a year ago, and a year when I began. But nevertheless, I thought I might make a review of it since nobody else appeared to.

Will be restarting Hayate no Gotoku chapter posts since I have nothing else better to do for this recent-episodic-driven blog, and also things are starting to get interesting in Hayate. Plus I’m still hoping for a third season and the upcoming Taiwanese drama Hayate version cringes me.

Refer to Sora no Otoshimono chapter 44 if you do not quite well understand.
HOOOOOOOOOOOOGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
A follow up from a major section from a previous post.
This chart (made by me) simply shows the major similarities in appearance, between Hata’s earlier works and his current which is Hayate no Gotoku!, which you can say that the characters have been im- I mean migrated over to Hayate as a spiritual survivor to the conclusion to Hata’s earlier works. Please note that this just covers Lifesavers and God’s Rocket Punch’s character similarities, there appears to be more according to Wiki’s Hata article but I shall leave it as is to prevent any misjudgements.

Luka appears out of nowhere and receives a 150 million yen debt. Marvellous.
Which reminds me, I haven’t read Hayate for months (Oh you and your inactivity and your Johnson Bill-kun), thanks for the reminder 4chun.
While we’re at it…(click the jump)

During my time at the London MCM Expo a several days ago, I visited the Japan Center now at Regent Street in Central to see the fresh “redesigned” and “expanded” store. Only to had been saddened by the fact that even though the inside had been renovated to be more “authentic”, the size of the interior seems to be smaller than the old shop! While the lower level of the shop had been removed, all the imported manga I have been ever so desperate to buy (coughhayatenogotokucough) have vanished!
Even though this was a huge let down, the place did offer a small section you’d find in a newsagents a magazine/newspaper/books (even though there weren’t any books) section. And to compensate the absent Hayate no Gotoku Raws and Newtype (apparently they are sold out of those) I brought the recent July issue of Shonen Ace! With an added bonus of a pillow cover (not a dakimakura…sadly) of Ikaros from Sora no Oto! To emphasize this month’s SnO 39th chapter with colour pages (as seen above).
And no, there was no June issue of Gangan featuring the last evar chapter of Fullmetal Alchemist…*shiku* *shiku*

Hurray! c268 is finally scanlated by the lovely denizens of MangaHelpers.
With the conclusion of the Golden Week/A-tan/Kings Jewel-or-whatever-you-call-it arc and an extra chapter featuring Hina donkey ears, at last a new story arc has emerged. Obviously given that it’ll be focused on Hayate and Nagi now that they’ve decided to give up on the Sanzenin inheritance. Chapter 268 gives a slight randomized spoiler in it’s opening vibrant colour pages where Nagi runs upstairs in some tall tower to scream her lungs out. A notable point is perhaps that during this flashy spoiler (third panel page one) is that she almost mentioned someone’s name called “Luca…”.

For those of you unaware, the 23rd and 24th volumes of Hayate no Gotoku will be released simultaneously on April 16th, which is in five days on the day this post has been published.
The reason for both volumes to be released at the same time is typically to catch up with the serialisation in Shonen Sunday, and maybe even treating us all to completely read all of the Golden Week and Athena Arc in high quality printing.
As an extra bonus, the covers for both the 23rd and 24th volumes have been cunningly devised so that when you place te two tankobons side by side (23>24), you’ll be greeted by a panorama artwork featuring most of the main and side characters of the arc. The volumes will be released either in normal format with the two tankobons sold separately or buy both in a limited edition package along with many freebies including a full sized poster of the said covers and a 7x7cm post card of some sort.
Can’t wait until I get my hands on it in May and fancying that new blue-haired character in chapter 268 8D

So many things to post… so to make things more simpler here’s a compilation post of stuff I would like to point out very much briefly.
With thanks for M of FoOlRulez for the epic opening image.

Realising that I am several hundreds of chapters behind from the recent chapters of Bleach (DAMN YOU PEOPLE WHO SPOILED ME WHEN ISSHIN APPEARS), I thought it’d be nice to actually support the manga industry in some sort of way by heading down to the local library and borrowing out all the volumes where I had left off over a year ago (according to MAL, and displayed above) and what the library has to offer (luckily now the amount of manga in libraries in my area is rising ;D).
Thought about simply heading over to MangaFox and reading it there, but I thought reading an actual book would be much easier and more confortable to read.
After all;
In regards to the actual translations from Viz and the fan-scans can be a debatable question to all, buut at least I’ll be able to catch up at lightning speed.
I end my post.
