I recently got a mint set of 2.1ch Sony speakers (SRS-D25 model to be precise). 2 lil’ dinky speakers and a woofer.
Fired it up for a few days now, and I have to say, the sound quality on these speakers is awesome, most particularly of you set what you’re playing on bass.
Got these speakers in preparation of my new Windows 7 Sony VAIO laptop coming early next year~

Yes that’s right, recently posted in the Dengeki Moeoh Blog, Nogizaka Mika (the prepubescent loli from Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu) will be getting her own limited edition dakimakura! As Mika being my most favourite character out of the series, like I always say DO WANT!
So after transcribing what the post says in the post, it seems it’ll be released on November 30th for a limited time at a certain shop somewhere in Japan, or otherwise, mail order from the internet (google/babel failed on me). The dakimakura will be (the way I see it) at a life-size perspective of Mika, meaning it’ll be 160cm long, and 50cm wide. Material for the cover will be a certain type of Polyester I heard. Note that they’ll only be supplying the cover, not the body pillow itself. Oh, and only in Japan so tough luck guys. The dakimakura will be priced around 9000yen (+shipping and Tax I believe), meaning it’ll be priced at around $100 this week for all you yanks and for me, at a ridiculously expensive price of around £60.
The dakimakura is now available for pre-order.

Time for a general animu otaku post since… forever eh? And does this make me an official die-hard otaku? Nahh…. Heh heh…
So the deal was this, while trolling around in the streets of London last Sunday, for some apparent reason I come home with the latest issue of “Newtype Magazine” and the Light Novel Anthology “Dragon Magazine”. Déja vu? Nah just kidding, I happened to look around in Japan Center. A Japanese Import shop, selling many Japanese food, drinks and snacks, general household products imported and books (+manga) and magazines imported from Japan as well. Looking around for the new volume (21) of Hayate, I was deeply saddened finding out that its coming out in mid October. Meaning I was not going out empty handed oh no. So I might as well buy the latest issues of Newtype Magazine and a random Light Novel Anthology Magazine which at first thought it was a Manga Magazine like Shonen Sunday -_-. By the way I’m still a n00b at reading Japanese so I just looked at the pretty pictures and illustrations, just to let you know first.
Flicking through the pages in Newtype, I soon to notice that many of the pages were just reviewing the new Anime that’s coming up in the Fall Anime line up. Such as Seitokai no Ichizon, Letterbee, Fairy Tail and many more. And also running and recently finished airing Anime including Umineko, Shangri-la and Canaan. Just by judging from the front cover as you see above (Mikuru-chan in the classic Japanese PE uniform as seen the “Sigh” Arc) the main feature of this issue was mainly about Haruhi, including some interview from the director I believe to many screen shots from the “Sigh” Arc as well.
Many fold out posters are present as well, a double sided poster (Eden of the East + Spice and Wolf) at the front pages and another double-sided (Gundam) poster at the back. Not only the main attractions but the magazine also includes some topics about recent Conventions that took place and some columns from the journalists/staff at Newtype relating to Anime. A 100-page Evangelion fanbook is also included in Newtype, including Fanart from die-hard Eva fans, articles upon the upcoming releases and the second film, and lastly many interviews with seiyuus and directors who took part in the production.

YES! YES!! I FINALLY GOT THE RAW TANKOBONS FOR HAYATE FROM VOLUMES 18 TO 20!! W00T! W00T!! =D

ANN – Yu Gi Oh! Sets Guinness Record with 22.6 Billion Cards
Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: Konami Digital Entertainment has announced on Friday that Guinness World Records has recognized Yu-Gi-Oh! as the best-selling trading card game to date with over 22,587,728,173 sold as of April 2009. The game entered the record books on July 7. The official announcement was made at the 7th annual Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game World Championship in Tokyo. Kazuki Takahashi drew the original manga from 1996 to 2004, and the card game first shipped in 1999 and eventually spread to over 45 countries. Konami had applied for the record back in 2006, when “only” 15.8 billion cards had been sold.
NAS and Studio Gallop are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their anime adaptation during this year’s Jump Super Anime Tour in Japan. The 10th anniversary anime special will feature appearances from the heroes of the studios’ three Yu-Gi-Oh! television series.
Three words. Super. Special. AWESOME!!
