Happy New Year 2011!!

A year on after the end of the noughties, Happy New Year 2011 everybody! Alas I’ve reached my first full year of blogging on this site, it’s been an interesting experience to say at least.

Over 200 posts poorly written overall, well over 500 comments posted and the daily view count soaring on average from 100 to over 600 in November, to say at least (again) this has been a great achievement for me. As well as for all you anon readers who never comment, I know who you guys are!!

Queens Blade Second Season Announced

s
Airi. My only favourite character out of the anime. Because maid outfits rule.

Its as you heard, ero clothing abuse anime Queens Blade has been announced for a second season, straight after its final episode that aired today (or yesterday) on the air waves in Japan, just like the failed 2nd season announcement of Hayate announced straight after its 52nd and final 1st season episode. Just as I heard on ANN and Sankaku.

Melo Melo MELOOOOOONNN!!!

akikan_ova

The so-called epic failed anime Akikan!‘s green-litted OVA, to be a original of a trip to the hot springs has begun streaming its 75 seconds promotional video for the 9th volume in the Light Novel series, to be out on 23rd October later this year. As I read the relevant article on ANN;

ANN – Akikan! Hot Spring OVA Episode’s Promo Video Streamed

The official website for Riku Ranjō and Hiro Suzuhira‘s Akikan! romantic comedy light novels and anime has begun streaming a 75-second promotional video for the ninth novel volume, which will bundle an original video anime (OVA) episode, on Friday. The website had announced in March that production on the OVA had been green-lit. The new 25-minute anime episode, “Akikan!/Can Ippatsu!!? Onsen Panic,” takes the main cast to a hot spring. The television anime version ran in Japan from January 3 to March 28, and the pre-order limited edition of the ninth novel with the new anime episode will ship in October 23.

The story revolves around a typical high school boy named Kakeru Daichi and the can of melon juice soda that he bought from a vending machine. The can suddenly transforms into a beautiful but standoffish girl that Kakeru nicknames “Melon,” and more “Akikan!” (“empty can” or “A-Machine”) girls seem. However, Akikan! girls need to be infused with carbon dioxide from kissing to survive.

Let’s hope that the quality of the animation will improve this time, from its previous notorious TV broadcast…

Valkyria Chronicle’s Alicia Abused!

pantsu

Wartime drama based off an PS3 exclusive tactical-role-playing game anime Valkryia Choronicle’s fourth coming episode shows the anime’s heroin, Alicia, being otherwise known as abused and teased by the main character, Welkin former classmate, Faldio, in which his intent was to explain Welkin’s well being and personality. Not to mention that as seen above and sometime below that Alicia actually wears the well known “pink” pantsu and was actually made in the time (we’re talking about the World War era). Witness the abused Alicia scenes below! Note that it took me ages to compile all them screen caps together and compressing it all in MS Paint…

Saki 04

Episode 4 of the moé mah-jong anime Saki has treated its so-called otaku fanbase and some samples of Maid Cosplay, “unintentional” no-pan shot and even essences of loli fanservice.

So here are some “skilfully” screen-caps done by me of the episode and yes, it’s very bad quality so bare with it for now as I may replace them with HQ versions where available, oh yes, and also please bare with my screen capping skills too since the camera moving shots in the episode mostly slides diagonally than the simple vertical slide, moreover its does so fairly fast, meaning the transition quality becomes poor…

Akikan! OVA Green-lit for Production

Yes, it seems as so that the Quality anime Akikan!‘s official website for the television anime adaptation of Riku Ranjo and Hiro Suzuhira’s Akikan! romantic comedy light novels has announced on Sunday that production on an Akikan! OVA project has been green-lit. Well since today is the day of the last airing of the anime (episode 12, which I’ll review later ^_^) it is a form of good news for the ‘fanbase’ (if there is one anyways..).

Summary of the whole plot (by ANN):

The story revolves around a typical high school boy named Kakeru Daichi and the can of melon juice soda that he bought from a vending machine. The can suddenly transforms into a beautiful but standoffish girl that Kakeru nicknames “Melon,” and more “Akikan!” (“empty can” or “A-Machine”) girls appear. However, Akikan! girls need to be infused with carbon dioxide from kissing to survive.

More updates to come~ (Apologies for the lack of updates for the past week I’ve been pretty busy due to large amounts and heavy school work and crap about my future, which I’m not fond of…lol)
