Hayate no Gotoku! – 297

Will be restarting Hayate no Gotoku chapter posts since I have nothing else better to do for this recent-episodic-driven blog, and also things are starting to get interesting in Hayate. Plus I’m still hoping for a third season and the upcoming Taiwanese drama Hayate version cringes me.

Hayate no Gotoku! Immigration Chart

A follow up from a major section from a previous post.

This chart (made by me) simply shows the major similarities in appearance, between Hata’s earlier works and his current which is Hayate no Gotoku!, which you can say that the characters have been im- I mean migrated over to Hayate as a spiritual survivor to the conclusion to Hata’s earlier works. Please note that this just covers Lifesavers and God’s Rocket Punch’s character similarities, there appears to be more according to Wiki’s Hata article but I shall leave it as is to prevent any misjudgements.

H-HAYATE I-IN A T-TV D-DRAMA!??

It sadly is.

I was actually surprised to see first thing in my RSS reader from ANN announcing that some Taiwanese TV station decided to do a Live Action adaptation of Hayate no Gotoku!, that is when I saw the initial main cast. It appears this Taiwanese actor called George Hu, 28 years old will play Hayate and this Korean actress, Shin-Hye Park will play Nagi. I’m not your typical yaoi dramafag Fangirl so I’m in no position to judge the actors.

Hayate no Gotoku! Chapter 268

Hurray! c268 is finally scanlated by the lovely denizens of MangaHelpers.

With the conclusion of the Golden Week/A-tan/Kings Jewel-or-whatever-you-call-it arc and an extra chapter featuring Hina donkey ears, at last a new story arc has emerged. Obviously given that it’ll be focused on Hayate and Nagi now that they’ve decided to give up on the Sanzenin inheritance. Chapter 268 gives a slight randomized spoiler in it’s opening vibrant colour pages where Nagi runs upstairs in some tall tower to scream her lungs out. A notable point is perhaps that during this flashy spoiler (third panel page one) is that she almost mentioned someone’s name called “Luca…”.

Hayate no Gotoku! Volumes 23/24 Out on April 16th!

For those of you unaware, the 23rd and 24th volumes of Hayate no Gotoku will be released simultaneously on April 16th, which is in five days on the day this post has been published.

The reason for both volumes to be released at the same time is typically to catch up with the serialisation in Shonen Sunday, and maybe even treating us all to completely read all of the Golden Week and Athena Arc in high quality printing.

As an extra bonus, the covers for both the 23rd and 24th volumes have been cunningly devised so that when you place te two tankobons side by side (23>24), you’ll be greeted by a panorama artwork featuring most of the main and side characters of the arc. The volumes will be released either in normal format with the two tankobons sold separately or buy both in a limited edition package along with many freebies including a full sized poster of the said covers and a 7x7cm post card of some sort.

Can’t wait until I get my hands on it in May and fancying that new blue-haired character in chapter 268 8D

Hayate no Gotoku! Golden Week/A-tan Arc Review

Not bothered to explain what happened in the previous chapters since I was too lazy to cover… So in a nut shell here’s a cunning “un-biased” post regarding the few previous chapters to refreshe your minds. Moving on, the 266th most recent chapter of Hayate no Gotoku! deeply speculates the long drawn Golden Arc and Athena Arc to a close! Meaning a strong possibility the hilarious parodying comedy and positive upbringing will come back bigger than ever!
