The Secret Key Obtained!

Rotom Forms

From June 8th till July 19th the Secret Key will be made available for all European Pokemon Platinum players on Nintendo WiFi, this is the 4th time the Secret Key will be made available on WiFi, it was available 2 time in Japan and once in North America. The Secret Key is the key to unlock the basement in the Galactic Building in Eterna City, which will give you access to 5 different forms of the sneaky little Pokémon Rotom. The five forms are the electric fan, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a TV, and a Lawn Mower/Grass Cutter, but the catch for Rotom to fuse with the forms, is that Rotom has to give up one of its moves to merge with the electrical appliances, so it can learn one of the special attacks the appliances hold. But Rotom will merge back to its original form if it is traded by someone else, placed on to the GTS, when the player enters the Union Room with Rotom within their party. (Note that you need Mystery Gift to get the special item by saying various words in an interview asks in the Jubilife TV Station’s 3rd (4th?) floor. If you don’t know then google is your friend :P)

Caught Rotom and Defeated the Stubborn Fantina!

479rotom

Two weeks has passed since the UK release of Pokemon Platinum, and betting that all the die-hard Pokemon fans here have already dashed through the game and defeated the Elite 4 in just under a week, I’m still going at a slow rate since I’m on the computer more than on the DS now D: and I’ve finally caught a Rotom which I tried over 20 times with turning my DS on and off over and over, but the random number generator was being a pain all the time until it gave in :D, and also defeated the wretched Fantina in the process. Fantina at the moment is the toughest I’ve fought yet, just beaten Wake, the Pastoria City’s Gym Leader in Diamond. With her updated team full of ghost Pokemon, and my team consisting of Prinplup, Staravia, Buizel and 3 other HM Pokemon, Buizel was the only guy in my team that can properly face the ghost legion with its might dark move attack Pursuit, and you know that Dark type moves is the strongest against Ghost types moves. But suddenly, almost at the end of the battle with Fantina’s Drifblim, Buizel left me and was unable to carry on, due to Haunter’s special ability of placing curses on its foe after fainting by taking away chunks of the foe’s HP. But Prinplup as its sub (since Staravia stand no chance against Drifblim, since its a Flying and Normal type, and Normal type won’t work against Ghost) was able to and successfully defeat Drifblim by a lucky flinch, from its ineffective Metal Claw and also since Fantina already used her Super Potion once earlier on.

With Fantina defeated and Rotom caught, now its the 3rd face off against my rival (Ryuichi, I named him :D) and has yet to be started, and that is pretty much what I have to say for now.

DSC00671

With 2 badges already claimed in just 6 days my Pokemon Platinum journey continues, and what better way to personalise your Pokémon party to name them to make them your own! So to keep up with a running lame gag I took some certain FoOlz and magically turn them into Pokémon. How original.

Just what more wonders await?

After my previous post yesterday with the recent UK release of Pokemon Platinum, I’m on my second day continuing my quest to be a “Pokemon Master”. Defeating the Oreburgh City Gym leader, defeated Galactic Grunts and got myself a Poketch in just one day. Until just this morning where I continued straight after waking up in bed where I started hunting down a Buizel to add to my party outside the Valley Windworks, then suddenly out of the blue, while I was hunting, a super awesome rare shiny Shinx appeared! OMGZ! As seen above~

Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Announced

After years and months of rumours  after a cheat mod discovering what they shouldn’t have, internet memes and bootlegging. Finally, its official, Nintendo has confirmed a 2009 release for Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver!

Originally going to be exclusively announced on the children’s variety show in Japan Pokémon Sunday on May 10th it seems that Nintendo was being cocky and decided to announce it before the show does.

As with the title these two versions are going to be remakes of the original Pokémon Gold and Silver for the Game Boy Color back in 1999, exactly like FireRed and LeafGreen for the Game Boy Advanced (remakes of Red and Blue/Green) and with almost after 10 years since the release of Gold and Silver, predictions of the exact release is going to be around 21st November in Japan, the 10th anniversary of the original release.

The game will take the players back into the Johto region (with the possibilities with unlocking the Kanto region as well same as the original), west of Kanto, and of course, with all the Johto Pokémon which were impossible to get since you can’t migrate Pokémon with Game Boy cartridges and the lack of Johto Pokémon in Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed and LeafGreen, with the addition of the 4th generation Pokémon included, and with the possibilities of a few plot tweaks to fit the new supply of Pokémon in.

And with the planned release for the Johto region remakes now players can finally legally complete their Pokedex in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum since most Johto Pokémon weren’t available in the most recent GBA/DS games.

A new contender for the next game of the year?

Dengeki Gakuen RPG: Cross of Venus Out on 26th Feb 2009

Hey just reminding you guys that the new game Dengeki Gakuen RPG: Cross of Venus is coming out on the DS on 26th February (only in Japan)

Trailer

Dengeki Gakuen RPG is set primarily at Dengeki Academy, a Japanese private school that the main characters attend. The story revolves around an unnamed protagonist who one day hears a recent rumor that a ghost has been appearing during the night at school. While he does not have any real interest in the occult, he uses searching for the ghost as an excuse to sneak into the school campus one night. However, his childhood friend Kizuna Kasugai comes with him to search for the ghost, and the two decide to search around the bench in front of the campus store. In the silent darkness, the two gradually arrive to open the door of the store and before them they see a person’s shadow move in the room. By straining his eyes, the protagonist sees that the person casting the shadow is eating melon bread, and realizes that this must be the cause of the ghost rumor; the shadow is in fact cast by Shana from Shakugan no Shana. This is possible due to one day the reality-based world of Dengeki Academy and the worlds of the Dengeki Bunko light novels to suddenly become connected allowing people from both the real-world and the novel worlds to cross over.

By meeting Shana, the protagonist and Kizuna become entangled in a struggle by the members of the novel worlds to protect their worlds from the unidentified evil organization known as Zetsumu who have been changing story details from the novel worlds and creating disorder in them. Their goal is “to snatch away the smiles from every person”. In order to combat Zetsumu, the protagonists will help the fighters from the novel worlds by traveling between the real-world and novel worlds.
