Hayate no Gotoku! 3rd Season Confirmed

The “99th volume” of Kenjirou Hata’s Hayate the Combat Butler manga announced on Saturday that production on a new anime has been green-lit. The manga volume is being distributed for free at the paired screenings of the Hayate the Combat Butler! Heaven is a Place on Earth film and the Mahō Sensei Negima! Anime Final film.

The original manga — and the two television anime series it inspired — follow a boy named Hayate who serves as a butler, bodyguard, confidante, and more to a girl named Nagi to pay off a 156,804,000-yen (about US$2-million) debt.

Takashi Kumagai, Shogakukan’s editor in charge of the Hayate the Combat Butler manga, had revealed in a January interview that the next step after the Hayate film was already being planned. Hata himself had posted on his Twitter account (in English) in April, “The third season : after the movie of the summer of this year. Please wait in expectancy!”

Viz Media will publish the 18th manga volume in North America next month. Bandai Entertainment released the first anime series, and Crunchyroll simulcasted the second anime series in several countries as it aired Japan in 2009.

The Taiwanese production and broadcasting company Gala TV aired a separate live-action television series based on the manga this year, and this series will also air in Japan.

The sauce.

All is well with the word. All is well.

Edit: Here’s the raw pic sauce of the page a Hayate movie-goer took.

Yes that’s right, being 14.54 years old I am still watching and playing Pokémon (the games btw), which might be the reason I the pseudonym “Nyarth” on the net. At last I finally managed to watch this movie with no regrets. In fact I planned to watch this several months back when it was released, but due to Megavideo and some program getting rid if the annoying limiter being a bitch I had to postpone it, that is, when I had o other choice but to download -sigh-. Anyways here’s my review.

Warning: Contains mild spoilers.

Bleach: Fade to Black, I Call Your Name Review

Nearly a year has passed since the theatrical release of Bleach: Fade to Black, I Call Your Name in Japan. But what was kinda strange at first was when I realised that the DVD of the movie came not so long ago (talking about September 30th 2009). Props to the subbers that actually putted in a lot of blood and sweat to fully sub the whole 90 minute or so film. Anyway, watched the movie a couple of days ago and heres my (promised) short review. Keau keau keau…

Just when I thought the whole K-ON! fad was over, a new episode appears out of the blue. Only the difference is that its coming out next year.

All in favour the extra episode will be a flashback of Mio and Ritsu’s past when the two were friends in grade school, say aye.

Shakugan no Shana S OVAs Announced, No 3rd Season?

Read on to know why I'm really pissed.

Remember my previous post about the confirmation of a 3rd season of Shana? Well…

New Shana Anime to Be Shakugan no Shana S OVA Series (Updated)

1st DVD/BD volume in October with “Shakugan no Shanatan” extra, Ito sleeve

The August issue of Kadokawa Shoten‘s Newtype magazine will confirm on Friday that the new Shana anime project which was revealed last month is the Shakugan no Shana S original video anime (OVA) series. Cast members Rie Kugimiya and Satoshi Hino will reprise their roles as Shana and Yuuji, respectively.

After reading the whole article, I was all like… WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-

But seriously, I had high hopes for a third season, well, with the chances for a useless remake for the 2nd season… A nice continuation from the second season, more evil doings from Bal Masque, and maybe some more Shana fanservice, top quality entertainment. Until to be crushed by a series of OVAs, which will only last for 4-5 episodes or so, be based off from the Shakugan no Shana S Spin Off light novels, and several months intervals for every flamin episode. Sheesh… But on the bright side is that there’ll be another Shana-tan short! That sort of cheers me up but still, looks I’ll have to bear with it like I am now with the crappy animation quality in the second season of Hayate…

Looks like another year to go before the 3rd season to be happening…

Update: No worries, the third season will coming shortly after the OVA run concludes. Which ends around Summer 2010. Worth the wait I suppose…
